Akon Has Been Working: New Academy To Provide 600 Million With Electricity In Africa

In case you?ve been wondering what Akon is up to these days, he has apparently been busy with  launching a new academy that is set to provide up to 600 million Africans reliable electricity. The initiative or institute called Akon Lighting Africa  will be inaugurated this summer, and will be based out of Mali?s capital, Bamako.

The Senegalese-born musician has always been involved in several projects that contribute to Africa?s development, and this time is using African skills and personnel in engineering, labor, and intelligence to bring entire communities across the continent, solar power.
