PIECES OF PUZZLE

You are a piece of the puzzle of someone else’s life. You may never know where you fit, but others will fill the holes in their lives with pieces of you. So when making any decision in life, ask yourself: ‘what’s the worst that can happen? Your mind is a powerful thing. When you fill it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change. Never test good people. They are like mercury. They’ll not break when hit. They’ll just disappear from your life silently.

TAKING THE FALL

The Last Alibi By David Ellis

Believing he’s the target of a frame-up, geeky loner James Drinker hires defense attorney Jason Kolarich to take his case. Two women he knows have recently been murdered, seemingly by the same killer, and Drinker thinks he’ll be the police’s main suspect. Something about Drinker seems off from the start, but Kolarich doesn’t give it too much thought. Until another murder occurs. And then another. As he begins to probe his client’s life and story more closely, it quickly becomes clear that nothing about James Drinker is what it seems and the target of the frame-up isn’t Drinker, but Kolarich. Faced with a murder charge and unable to prove his own innocence without breaking his sworn attorney-client privilege, Jason Kolarich must hunt for the truth about James Drinker, the series of brutal killings, and why he’s been set up to take the fall. The answers will be beyond anything he could have imagined.

THIS IS LIFE – WORTH READING

{ a} Never discuss your problems with everyone, 20% will not care and 80% will be glad that you have them.

{b} Life is similar to a boxing game. Defeat is not declared when you fall down. It is declared when you refuse to get up.

{c} It is always the wrong people who teach the right lesson in life. That is called life experience.

{d} Everything is valuable only on two occasions: [1] Before getting it and [ 2] After getting it

{e} Two places are most valuable in the world: [1] The nicest place is to be in someone’s thoughts and [ 2 ] The safest place is to be in someone’s prayers.

{f} Fear has two meanings: [1 ] Forget everything and run and [2] Face everything and rejoice. The choice is ours.

{g} EGO is the only requirement which destroys any relationship. Be a bigger person, skip the ‘E’ and let it ‘GO’.

{h}As long as we do not forgive people who have hurt us, they occupy a Rent-Free space in our mind.

{i} I asked God: If everything is already written in destiny, then why should i pray? God smiled and said: I have also written ‘ Conditions Apply’.

{j} Empty pockets teach millions of things in life. But full pockets spoil us in million ways.

{k} Trust is like a sticker. Once it is removed, it may stick again but not as strong as it holds when you first applied.

{l} Never win people with arguments. Rather defeat them with your smile. Because people who always wish to argue with you, cannot bear your silence.

{m} Memories are always special. Sometimes, we laugh by remembering the days we cried and sometimes we cry by remembering the days we laughed. That’s life.

The school year is almost over. Anxious families await word of college acceptances. In these last pressure cooker months of high school, some kids will make the all too common and all too dangerous mistake of drinking and driving. But Myron is determined to help keep his friends’ children safe, and so he makes two neighborhood girls promise him: If they are ever in a bind but are afraid to call their parents, they must call him. Several nights later, the call comes at 2:00 am, and true to his word, Myron picks up one of the girls in midtown Manhattan and drives her to New Jersey where she says her friend lives. The next day, the girl’s parents discover that their daughter is missing. And that Myron was the last person to see her. Desperate to fulfill a well-intentioned promise turned nightmarishly wrong, Myron races to find her before she’s gone forever. But his past will not be buried so easily for trouble has always stalked him, and his loved ones often suffer. Now Myron must decide once and for all who he is and what he will stand up for if he is to have any hope of saving a young girl’s life.
