Big and brash, Jeff Zack didn’t hide his rough lifestyle. And when he died, it was in plain sight; executed in the parking lot of a BJ’s wholesale club in Akron, Ohio, by a motorcycle-riding assassin dressed in black.
Jeff Zack’s murder stunned the community and the investigators but then, so did his life. A long list of people might have reasons to want Zack dead, including the loyal wife he had humiliated and wealthy night club owner whose wife – a blond, a devoted mother and respected church member, hard-bodied former beauty queen he openly dated.
Did her beauty mask a heart cold enough to kill? But the truth would get even stranger.

TITLE : IF LOOKS COULD KILL
The architect who led construction of the great Chicago world’s fair of 1893,and the prolific serial killer who used the fair as a lure. Just blocks from the fairground, the killer built a hotel of horrors equipped with an acid vat, dissection table and cremation.
A story of two men whose fates linked. The architect was Daniel H.Burnham, the driving force behind the white city, the massive visionary landscape of white buildings set in a wonderworld of canals and gardens. The killer was H.H.Holmes,a handsome doctor with striking blue eyes. He used the attraction of the great fair and his own devilish charms to lure scores of young women to their deaths.
While Burnham overcame politics, infighting, personality clashes and Chicago’s infamous weather to transform the swamps of Jackson Park into the greatest show on Earth,Holmes built his own edifice just west of the fairground. He called it The World’s Fair Hotel. In reality it was a Torture Palace,a Gas Chamber,a Crematorium.

What I Used To Think Of Jail Until I Met A New Friend
THE CRIME I COMMITTED
My crime was that, I stood in as a guarantor for a friend to secure a bank loan and she ended up not paying all the amount that required of her. And I had no idea that this was going on until the bank called notifying me to come over. I went there the next day thinking I could have some agreement with them to pay whiles I look for my friend.
As I entered the bank managers office, I got introduced to two detectives who will be taking me into custody unless I pay up the remaining balance that day or I tell them where they can find my friend and arrest her instead. I couldn’t believe this was happening until I was behind bars. This was where I met a new friend Achaa.
There was a woman who had been there for two days over domestic issues and her name was Achaa. She was stronger than I was because it was my first time to sleep alone without my child beside me. It was very difficult as a mother. She did her best to cheer me up throughout the night but I couldn’t sleep. She told me she would be released the next day and that made me more sad because I was going be left alone in the police cells and I know that’s not a place anyone even for a minute, but I wished within me that she would be spending some few days more with me.
TWO WEEKS IN JAIL
I spent two weeks in jail and sworn not to befriend anyone nor do good to anyone for that matter. Because I ended up in jail by helping out a friend. The cold nights, loneliness and the fact that it was Christmas holidays and I wasn’t at home celebrating with my family especially not being able to celebrate with my child, that really broke my heart.
ACHAA THE NEW FRIEND
Achaa changed my decision on friendship again when she visited me and brought along food, clothes, pillow and blankets since I had to sleep on the bare cold floor because there was nothing to sleep on. She ended up helping me to pay part of the amount and she was there when I released. Then I remembered something my grandma used to tell us, ” everything happen for a reason “. I never thought that being betrayed by someone who was a dear friend could help me find another wonderful and kind-hearted person who has now become like sister to me till date.
Spending time in jail has thought me not to judge quickly and not everyone who ends up in jail is guilty or a bad person. Rather, the innocent are victims of circumstances like myself and you are likely to meet some of the lifelong friends at the unusual places.

This is the opening line of a letter hidden under a carpet for a decade. The chilling words followed by a confession to a murder committed nearly 13 years earlier. The chance discovery of the letter on 31 March 2012 reawakened a case long considered to have run cold, and a hunt begins for the men who kidnapped and killed Betty Ketani – and convinced they had gotten away with it.
The investigation spans five countries, with a world renowed DNA laboratory called in to help solve the forensic puzzle. The author of the confession letter might have feared death, but he is very much alive, as are others implicated in the crime.
Who would want Betty Ketani dead, and why?

Today marks exactly two years since I started blogging and have enjoyed every bit of it. The new friends that I have made even though I haven’t met any of them and might probably not see them ever, but it feels so good to find other people who share the same interest from a different continents.
Some few years back, when I read a book and finds it interesting, all I wanted to do was to share it with some friends. But funny enough, most of my friends didn’t like reading novels so they keep asking, what is it with you and books? And I will reply, why don’t you like reading? 😁
This continued for sometime before I got introduced to WordPress and the magic began. I was so happy to know that, finally I can share something that I love to do with the world.
To sum all up…
Coffee never knew it will taste nice and sweet before it met sugar and milk. We are good as people but become better when we blend with the right people. The world is full of nice people, if you can’t find one, be one.
The richest wealth is wisdom
The strongest weapon is patience.
The best security is faith.
The greatest tonic is laughter.
The greatest force is love.
The surest assurance of our hope is God.
The source of our strength is the joy of the Lord.
There is a grisly murder in your neighborhood. You stand outside with your neighbors to watch, or maybe you peek outside your curtains. Hours pass, then days, maybe years.
Then one day there is a knock at your door and the police take you in for questioning. Do you remember what happened? Do you have an alibi? Can you take countless hours of interrogation without breaking? This can happen to you. And it happens to more people than you think.
